Staying Safe and Well Scheme

Staying Safe and Well is for local people over 60 years age who are invited to drop into a near-by community centre for advice on how they can increase feelings of safety and security and promote independence.

The most recent event was held at Bennetts End Community Centre and included information on health care, exercise, fire safety and bogus callers. Age Concern, the police, the fire service, the crime prevention panel, the Borough Council's elderly services staff, the district nurse and the Bennetts End neighbourhood warden were all there for what was a relaxed and sociable event.

For more information on the next Staying Safe and Well day ring Dacorum's Primary Care Trust on 01442 840950.
