Work with emergency Services

The Council’s Meals-on-Wheels service is working with Tring police and The Rotary Club to make sure vital information is available to emergency services in the event of a vulnerable person falling ill.

Those taking part in the scheme are given a small plastic bottle in which they can insert a note detailing contact numbers for relatives or carers and information about any illnesses or allergies, or any medication. The bottle is then left in a fridge or cupboard, with matching labels displayed elsewhere in the home to tell emergency services where to look.
