Housing Estate Wardens

28% of people in Dacorum are local authority tenants who pay rent to the Borough Council. The department at the Council responsible for all council housing is the Housing Service.

The Housing Service employs two estate wardens who work with residents, tenant services officers, other Council departments and community police officers to keep the estates clean and safe.

In addition to the estate wardens, there is also a neighbourhood warden called Don Palmer, responsible for Bennetts End and Cornerhall (Hemel Hempstead). Don is a reassuring presence who works in partnership with the community to provide a safer, cleaner environment.

Residents can report anything they are unhappy about to the wardens. This might be untidy garage areas, problems with communal areas in flats, graffiti, abandoned cars, fly tipping or problems with rubbish. In each case the warden works with the Council to make improvements happen as quickly and easily as possible.

Telephone Lindsey Walsh 01442 228462 for more information on estate wardens
