Dacorum Borough Council’s Tenant Participation Team

The Council’s Tenant Participation Team works throughout the Borough of Dacorum to encourage participation and create a better sense of community.

Specifically, the Tenant Participation Team provides:

  • support to tenants wishing to set up an Association
  • on-going support to ensure that these associations develop effectively
  • financial support for Tenants’ & Residents’ Associations with an initial start up grant, an annual maintenance grant and expense payments to allow tenant representatives to attend essential meetings
  • a computer and modem if needed to enable groups to produce newsletters and to give access to the internet as a way of finding out what other tenants and leaseholders in Dacorum, and further afield are achieving
  • training to encourage those taking part to get the most out of their involvement. Each association is provided with information about relevant courses run by different agencies and funding is available to cover costs.

If you would like more information about setting up an association, or would like to act as an individual voice for your area, please ring 01442 228961 or 01442 228966 or email kate.bowles@dacorum.gov.uk or sue.prowse@dacorum.gov.uk
