Domestic Violence

In 2006 / 2007 over 1600 incidents of domestic violence were reported by victims to Hertfordshire Constabulary in Dacorum. We know from previous research that most of these victims will not make contact with the police until they have been assaulted or abused on numerous occasions.

If you are or have been a victim of domestic violence or abuse of any description and you live in the Dacorum area and need to leave home because you have experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse or just want to talk to someone about your experiences then Dacorum Women’s Aid can help.

Please always remember:

  • You have an absolute right to live free from violence and fear.
  • Despite how you may feel you are not to blame in any way.
  • You don’t have to put up with abuse.
  • Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home

By contacting Dacorum Women’s Aid you can change your life. We can help so call us now on 08088 088 088 between 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
