Neighbourhood Watch Explained

Neighbourhood Watch Manned by a full time coordinator to promote Neighbourhood Safety and Neighbourhood Watch in Dacorum and provide a link between the Police and Neighbourhood Watches.

Neighbours are encouraged to get together and form a watch to help prevent crime in their local community.

Neighbourhood Watch Support provides information about Neighbourhood Watch, crime prevention and safer communities. They have a supply of leaflets and videos.

Quarterly meetings are held by the Hemel Hempstead Crime Prevention Panel for Watch Co-ordinators at Carey Baptist Church, Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.

Publications: Watchlink - Neighbourhood Watch twice yearly newsletter.

Over 20,000 households in Dacorum are covered by Neighbourhood Watch schemes with over 740 watches.

Most of the big insurance companies now offer a discount of up to 15% on contents insurance premiums for scheme members.
