APPEAL: ROBBERY IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD
POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses
to a robbery on Queensway, Hemel Hempstead last night
(Wednesday, May 12).
At around 4.40pm, it is believed a man who was walking
through the Keen Fields Park, which is between Adeyfield
Road and Queensway, was approached by two men. It
is believed they have punched him in the face and
took his wallet and mobile phone before making off
on foot towards Downside which leads to St Pauls Road
and Queensway. The man suffered slight injuries.
The first offender is described as a broad white man,
aged around 30-years-old with dark cropped hair. He
was wearing a grey t-shirt with dark grey writing
on it and blue stonewashed jeans.
The second offender is described as a broad white
man, aged around 25-years-old. He was wearing a red
hooded top and black jeans.
Detective Constable Marc Willmore, investigating,
said: “It was still light at the time of the offence
and the park would have been fairly busy. We're asking
anyone who was in the area at that time who may have
seen the two men described or indeed seen the incident
to contact police.”
