QUEENSWAY ASSAULT


POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses to an assault on Queensway, Hemel Hempstead on Sunday (May 30).

At around 11.10pm it is believed a man has stepped into the road in front of a car close to the junction with Great Road causing the driver to stop. The driver got out of the car and it is believed three men have assaulted him. The offender(s) then made off on foot towards Jupiter Drive.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead, suffered severe bruising to his face and body.

The offenders are described as white men aged in their early 20s.

DC Tom Eykelbosch, investigating, said: “We are keen to identify the offenders to this assault and would urge anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed this incident or indeed the three men making off towards Jupiter Drive to contact police urgently.

“Anyone with information about the incident or who has any knowledge as to who is responsible is asked to call 0845 33 00 222.”
