| NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD
OFFICER FOR TRING
RESIDENTS
and businesses in Tring have a new face on the beat
with the introduction of their new Safer Neighbourhoods
officer – PC Stuart Dell.
PC Dell has been a police officer with Hertfordshire
Constabulary for 14 years and has worked in various
roles as a police officer including as a detective,
and also went on a secondment to Thames Valley Police.
Stuart said: “I have been involved in many roles throughout
my fourteen year career but I fancied coming back
to the beat as this is what policing is all about
and why most of us join the job.
“I am very much looking forward to working in Tring
and working with the community here to try and help
them as much as possible and hopefully I can make
a difference.
“I would encourage anyone who would like to talk about
any problems they may have or just to say hello to
contact me.”
Anyone who would like to contact PC Dell can do so
by contacting him via 01707 354192 or alternatively
you can e-mail him at: stuart.dell@herts.pnn.police.uk.
The neighbourhood Priorities for Tring are:
Burglary
We will continue to provide high visibility burglary
patrols, in particular concentrating on garage breaks
in residential streets around Tring Town Centre. We
will be focusing on weekday evenings between 6pm and
11pm and weekends from 4pm onwards.
Anti-social behaviour
Now that the lighter evenings are upon us we will
be focusing on Anti Social Behaviour within the Tring
area particularly under age drinking and nuisance
behaviour. These offences usually occur at weekends
but also weekday evenings between the hours of 4pm
and 10pm.
Vehicle crime
We will increase high visibility patrols around the
reported area crime hot spots, targeting particular
times now that the evenings have become lighter. These
areas are local car parks, reservoir car parks and
residential areas close to the town centre. These
offences generally take place between 5pm and 8am
mainly during weekends.
These priorities have been agreed and set through
local meetings, consultation and direct contact from
local residents. If you wish to comment on these priorities
or you think there is something else we should be
working on, then please visit www.herts.police.uk
and click on the Safer Neighbourhoods page or call
0845 33 00 222.
