KINGS LANGLEY INCIDENT

POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses to an incident in Kings Langley over the weekend.

At around 4am on Saturday morning (May 29) police were called to a report that a firearm had been discharged from outside a residential property in Water Lane.

As a result a window and a wall inside the property were damaged. Two people were sleeping inside the room at the time, but neither was hurt.

Detective Sergeant Mark Banczyk-Gee, investigating, said: “We believe this to be a targeted incident that we are fully investigating. We would like to speak to anyone in the Water Lane area around the time of the incident as they may have been a witness to the offender(s) travelling to or from the scene.

“It is believed a vehicle would have been used. If you saw a suspicious vehicle around the area or heard anything please get in contact. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police as a matter of urgency.

“Our officers have been at the address making enquiries and we are carrying out extra police patrols in the area. The local Safer Neighbourhood Team is available to speak to local residents with any concerns about what happened.”

Anyone with information should call 01923 47 2127 and speak to DS Mark Banczyk-Gee or Investigator Dave Patton. Alternatively call the police non-emergency number on 0845 33 00 222.

You can also call Crimestoppers (an independent charity) anonymously on 0800 555 111.
