INCIDENT
POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses
to an incident in Kings Langley over the weekend.
At around 4am on Saturday morning (May 29) police
were called to a report that a firearm had been discharged
from outside a residential property in Water Lane.
As a result a window and a wall inside the property
were damaged. Two people were sleeping inside the
room at the time, but neither was hurt.
Detective Sergeant Mark Banczyk-Gee, investigating,
said: “We believe this to be a targeted incident that
we are fully investigating. We would like to speak
to anyone in the Water Lane area around the time of
the incident as they may have been a witness to the
offender(s) travelling to or from the scene.
“It is believed a vehicle would have been used. If
you saw a suspicious vehicle around the area or heard
anything please get in contact. Anyone with information
about the incident is urged to contact police as a
matter of urgency.
“Our officers have been at the address making enquiries
and we are carrying out extra police patrols in the
area. The local Safer Neighbourhood Team is available
to speak to local residents with any concerns about
what happened.”
