COLLISION IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD


POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Hemel Hempstead on Sunday evening (May 30).

At around 5.55pm, for reasons unknown at this stage, a grey Peugeot 307 travelling south east on Lawn Lane and a silver Ford Focus travelling south west on Deaconsfield Road have collided at the crossroads causing the Ford Focus to leave the road to the nearside colliding with a female pedestrian.

The female pedestrian suffered serious leg injuries and both drivers suffered minor injuries. All three were taken to Watford General Hospital.

The road was closed while vehicles were recovered.

PC Ian Breacher, investigating, said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or the two vehicles prior to the collision to call police on 0845 33 00 222.”
