TWO MEN CHARGED WITH DISTRACTION BURGLARY


TWO MEN have been charged in connection with distraction burglary offences in Hemel Hempstead and Ipswich.

William Chalmers, 67, of Bell Avenue in Romford and Michael Ramm, 65, of Henniker Gate in Chelmsford were arrested on Wednesday (June 9) and were charged this morning (June 11) with an offence which occurred on 20 April in the Highfield area of Hemel Hempstead.

They have also both been charged with a distraction burglary that took place in Ipswich on 18 February.

Michael Ramm has also been charged with an attempted distraction burglary which took place on 19 April in the Highfield area of Hemel Hempstead.

Both men appeared at Hatfield Remand Court this morning and have been remanded into police custody.
